What Is Immediate Dentoalveolar Restoration (IDR) Treatment?
IDR treatment is a quick and simple reconstructive procedure to effectively extract and replace a tooth in one treatment. Under normal circumstances, replacing a single tooth is a relatively simple procedure. However, when bone loss or periodontal disease is present, a different approach is required.
When there are such complications, treatment times are often longer and more involved, and results may not be optimum. To eliminate this scenario, Dr. José Carlos Martins da Rosa developed the Immediate Dentoalveolar Restoration (IDR) technique.
IDR restores problematic dental sockets, allowing for tooth implants to be placed in a less invasive manner. It is a single-stage, surgical and prosthetic procedure that can be accomplished in one day.
